The things we wish we realized sooner

As I looked into my daughter's face and observed a craft project gone awry, I realized something more important than the outcome. The look on her face, the sheer force of disappointment weighing down on her, shifted my approach. In that moment, I saw an opportunity to build her up, and I chose to emphasize how well she did, especially for her age of 9. Nothing brings greater sadness than realizing... this is precisely how we should treat every human being. Yet, we don't. Why is that? Is it because we all fail to recognize the importance of each moment, having overlooked so many significant aspects? We have constructed a broken world, founded on lies and untruths. The sadness surpasses everything because we exert force from above, not from within. Hierarchies should foster stewardship and growth.
